INTRODUCTION

The IOGOOS-VI meeting was held at the Kasani GR Hotel in Hyderabad, India, 3-5 December 2008, and hosted by INCOIS of the Government of India and co-sponsored by the UNESCO IOC Perth Regional Programme Office (IOC Perth). Administrative coordination for the meeting was managed principally through the IOGOOS Secretariat, based at INCOIS, with assistance from IOC Perth.
