The Right to Information Act 2005 came into force for its enactment from 12 October 2005 to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority in India. Under the act we are committed to provide following information on this website to every citizen of India.

In terms of provisions of Section 4, 1(b) of the Act, the following are required to be published:

(i) Particulars of Organization, Functions and Duties

(ii) Powers and Duties of Officers and Employees

(iii) Procedure followed in the decision making process, including channels of supervision and accountability;

(iv) Norms set by the Department for the discharge of its functions.

(v) Rules, regulations, instructions, manuals and records, held by the Department or under its control or used by its employees for discharge its functions

(vi) Particulars of any arrangement that exists for consultation with, or representation by, the members of the public in relation to the formulation of its policy or implementation thereof

(vii) A statement of boards, council, committees and other bodies consisting of two or more persons constituted as its part or for the propose of its advice, and as to whether meetings of these boards, councils, committees and other bodies are open to the public, or the minutes of such meetings are accessible for public.

(viii) Directory of the officers and employees of the Department

(ix) Monthly Remuneration Received By Each of its Officers and Employees, including the System of compensation

(x) Budget Allocated to Department and to each Agency under its control

(xi) The manner of execution of Subsidy Programme

(xii) Particulars of Recipients of Concessions, permits or authorization granted by the Department

(xiii) Details in respect of the information available to or held by the Department, reduced in an electronic form

(xiv) Particulars of the facilities available to citizens for obtaining information including the working hours of a library or reading room, if maintained for public use

(xv) The names, designations and other particulars of the Public Information Officers
