Actions
Ocean Decade Actions are the tangible initiatives implemented worldwide throughout the Decade to realise the vision: "The science we need for the ocean we want."
Currently, more than 350 Ocean Decade Actions are being implemented globally, with many more expected over the coming years. These Actions are delivered by a diverse and growing community that includes research institutions, governments, UN entities, intergovernmental organizations, industry and business, philanthropic and corporate foundations, non-governmental organizations, educators, ocean sports groups, community organizations, and civil society.
Ocean Decade Actions translate ambition into real-world impact by generating knowledge, building capacity, fostering partnerships, and supporting science-informed decision-making at global, regional, national, and local levels.

Projects
Ocean Decade Projects are discrete, focused undertakings designed to address specific scientific, technical, or societal questions. Projects may be implemented at regional, national, or subnational levels and typically contribute to the objectives of an identified Ocean Decade Programme.
Projects play a vital role in translating broader programme goals into actionable outcomes, supporting innovation, local solutions, and targeted capacity development across the Ocean Decade.
